Robert Earl Beatty, Jr. was born Aug. 18, 1920 to Robert Earl (Sr..) and Maude Helen Howard Beatty. He died Mar. 17, 2012 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Lt. Beatty served in World War II with the U.S. Army Field Artillery and was awarded the Purple Heart.
