Private John R. Bean, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bean, 1507 Center Street, is chief photographer in charge of the photographic laboratory at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He is attending the military intelligence school for instructors.

John Ray Bean was born June 7, 1914 to William H. and Willie Batson Bean. He died Jan. 6, 1996 and is buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
Sgt. Bean served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
