William Maurice Barnett was born Aug. 19, 1893 to Joseph Warrington and Ann E. Belden Barnett. He died Jan. 24, 1970 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.
Petty Officer Barnett served with the U.S. Navy in World War I and World War II.
