Ralph Warren Banford was born Oct. 4, 1919 to Charles Matthew and Edith Olive Miller Banford. He died Nov. 14, 1948 and is buried in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA.
Sgt. Banford served in World War II with the U.S. Army in the Tunisia, Naples-Foggia, and Rome-Arno campaign and was awarded 3 Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal.
