Pvt. Robert Baker

Pvt. Robert Baker, an instrument mechanic at the La Junta, Colorado, air base for the last year, returned there after a 19-day furlough in the home of his mother, Mrs. H.W. Baker, 812 29th Street. He entered the service in April 1943, and was stationed at Mountain Home, Idaho and Ogden, Utah, before being transferred to La Junta. His twin brothers, Burton and Bruce also are in service. Burton is a seaman first class taking naval radio training at Corpus Christi, Texas. He entered the navy in June 1944, received his boot training at Great Lakes, Illinois and received the first phase of his radio training at Gulfport, Miss. Pvt. Bruce Baker entered the army in November 1944 and is taking his basic training at Camp Robinson, Ark. All three are graduated of Central High School.
