Fred G. Buehler, of this city, has been attached to engineering unit in California has been promoted to the rank of warrant officer. Buehler was formerly manager of the Firestone Store in Webster City.

Frederick George Buehler was born Jan. 27, 1909 to Frederick and Katherine Hornung Buehler. He died Sept. 23, 1994.
Pvt. Buehler served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 914th Engineer A.F. Hq. Co. - Fifth Air Force and 118th Engineer Combat Battalion, 43rd Infantry Division.
