Moville, Iowa- Private Bert H. Britain returned recently to California, where he has been on desert maneuvers after spending a 15-day furlough with his wife.

Bert Hiram Britain was born May 25, 1918 to Don L. and Angie O. Dozier Britain. He died Oct. 20, 2001 and is buried in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ.
Pvt. Britain served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
