Bob L. Brim was born Aug. 19, 1924 to Ellis and Bessie Tash Brim. He died June 15, 1998 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Sgt. Brim served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Bob L. Brim, 73, Webster City, died Monday, June 15, 1998 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Webster City, with Rev. Keith Purcell officiating. There will be no visitation.

Bob L. Brim, son of Ellis and Bessie (Tash) Brim, was born Aug. 19, 1924 in Hamilton County. He attended schools in Hamilton County and graduated from Webster City High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Dorothy Fassett on Feb. 20, 1944 at First Congregational Church in Webster City. The couple farmed northeast of Webster City, raising purebred SPF hogs for man years. The couple retired in 1980. Since 1969, he had dealt in antique clocks and watches. The couple wintered in Lady Lake, Fla.

He is survived by his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Barb Brim, Webster City; daughter, Susie Brim, Webster City, five grandsons, Mark, Peter, Andy, Kevin and Nick; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Margaret Brim, Webster City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger.

Mr. Brim was a member of the First Congregational Church, where he was a former deacon, the American Legion Post 191, and president of both the golf and pool clubs in Florida. He was past president of the Stonega elevator board, and the Iowa SPF Association. He was also a former member and leader of the Cass 4-H Club.
