George Bloomberg, Jr. was born Feb. 18, 1924 to George Albert and Mae Esther Sawtell Bloomberg. He died Mar. 2, 1997 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA.
Sgt. Bloomberg served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 10th Air Force and was awarded the good conduct ribbon, European theatre ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with 3 bronze stars, distinguished unit badge with cluster and the victory ribbon.
