Oto, Iowa—Private Jess L. Benton, Jr. and Private Ralph H. Benton, only sons of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Benton, Sr. of Oto, are in service. Jess is at the front in Africa and has been approved for officer candidate school. Ralph is in the army air corps at Kearns Field, Utah.

Jesse Leo Benton, Jr. was May 11, 1920 to Jesse Leo (Sr.) and Bernice E. Green Benton. He died Jan. 24, 1996 and is buried in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
Jesse served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
