Mrs. Marie Baldwin received the purple heart decoration awarded posthumously to her husband, Pfc. Ralph Baldwin, who was killed in action in Luxembourg December 17, 1944.

Ralph Roy Baldwin was born Apr. 9, 1921 to Johannes Martin and Fredericka Amelia Petersen. He was the stepson of Frank Luther Baldwin. He died Dec. 27, 1944.
He served in World War II with the U.S. Army 803rd Tank Destroyer Battalion.
