Richard Wayne Andrew was born Oct. 27, 1917. He died Feb. 15, 1988 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Pvt. Andrew served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Richard W. Andrew, 71, Webster City, died Monday, Feb. 15 at the Hamilton County Hospital following a sudden illness.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Bane officiating. The body was cremated and burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery.
Richard Wayne Andrew, son of Otis and Lulu Baker Andrew, was born Oct. 27, 1917 at Webster City where he received his education.
In 1946, he was married to Phyllis Wahlers. To this union, four children were born — Richard (Rick), Kristi Ann Wirtjes, Cindy (Mrs. Mark) Tolle, all of Webster City; and Phillip F. of Stratford.
He married Alvera Stuhr. He had been employed at Webster City Products and Des Moines Roofing. Mr. Andrew had been retired for 4 years.
He is also survived by three grandchildren; step-children Frank Brand of Woolstock, Diana Stuhr of Portland, Ore., Donna Stacy of Webster City, Doris (Mrs. Kenmore) Chalfant of Webster City, Debbie (Mrs. Tom) Lovelace of Decatur, Ill., Doug Stuhr of Webster City, Dale Stuhr of Vicaville, Calif.; three brothers and two sisters, Edward (Mike), Donald, Evelyn and Charles Andrew, and Delores Tate, all of Webster City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Mr. Andrew was a member of the Methodist church, American Legion, VFW and the Webster City Moose Lodge.
He served in the Armed Services in World War II.
