Charles “Curly” Andrew, 80, of Webster City, died Tuesday July 15, 2008 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Mike Willer officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with Graveside Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Post #191 of Webster City. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at Fosters.
Charles William Andrew, son of Otis and Lulu Baker Andrew was born August 6, 1927 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1945. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy. Upon his discharge, he worked as a plaster installer and as a bricklayer with the Ambrose family. From 1969 until his retirement in 1993, he was employed for Electrolux in Webster City. On September 2, 1986, he married Angie Roberts in Webster City.
In addition to his wife Angie, he is survived by his daughter, Jackie White; son, Otis Andrew, daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Doug Ewing of Duncombe; son and daughter-in-law, Jake and Bobbie Roberts of Illinois; six grandchildren; sister, Delores Tate of Webster City and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; one sister and many friends.
Curly was a 62 year member of the American Legion Post #191 and he was also a member of the Moose Family Center both in Webster City.
