Robert Gene “Bob” Anderson was born Oct. 6, 1919 to Clifford John and Letha Maisie Fish Anderson. He died Aug. 20, 1989 and is buried in Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.
Sgt. Anderson served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and took part of the Battle of Iwo Jima.
