Clifford Abramson, 68, of Dorchester, South Carolina, passed away May 18, 1992 of lung cancer.
Clifford was the son of August and Bertha (Barkema) Abramson of Jewell. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. He was a 1941 graduate of Jewell High School. After graduation, he entered the Army. He served as a body guard to President John Kennedy, and also as a helicopter pilot for him. He retired from the Army.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Miriam, and daughters, Patricia, Debbie and Dianna; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are his brothers, Claude of Jewell, Lloyd of Prairiefarm, Wisconsin, and Willis of Springfield, Missouri and his sister, Wilma Hecht of Jewell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jeanette Roe, and brothers Lawrence and Sterling.
