20 S. W. Iowa War Dead Back
Bodies Returned from Italy, Africa
The bodies of 20 southwest Iowa war dead have been returned to the United States from the Mediterranean area aboard the army transport Cpl. Eric G. Gibson, the department of the army announced Sunday. A total of 111 remains were returned to next of kin in Iowa.
Three From Company F
Three former members of Company F, Villisca national guard unit, are in the shipment: Sgt. George Comley of Villisca, Sgt. Albert W. Rider of Nodaway and S. Sgt. Clarence T. “Monty” Storm of Macedonia.
Sgt. Storm, 27, son of C. T. Storm of Macedonia, was killed in action May 1, 1943, in North Africa. He was employed at Villisca before the war. He was married May 2, 1941 to Teresa Vierch of Villisca. He was a graduate of Macedonia high school.

S. W. Iowa Deaths
S/Sgt. Clarence L. Storm
CARSON – Funeral services for the family will be held at the McKee funeral home in Carson Friday at 1:30 p.m. and graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Macedonia cemetery for S/Sgt. Clarence L. Storm, 26, who was killed in North Africa. Company F of Villisca will have charge of the graveside service.
