Lt. Steinberg Is Back in U. S.
Lt. Col. Jack Steinberg, son of former Alderman George Steinberg, has returned to this country after more than two years service overseas and is now at Kansas City, according to word received here.
Col. Steinberg, with a headquarters supply unit, saw service in Ireland, Scotland, North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was wounded in Sicily. He served as [a] supply officer.
He is expected to arrive in Council Bluffs the first of next week, and later will report for an assignment in Delaware.
