Fred K. Sprague, radarman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sprague, 1419 ½ Silver street, was aboard the Mount Olympus, a flag ship of the Third amphibious forces, at the time of the surrender in Tokyo Bay. The Sioux Cityan, whose wife and daughter live at 3233 Garretson avenue, has been in the Navy for the last 18 months. He was in Guam, Leyte, the Philippines, and while in Manila Bay met his oldest brother, Lloyd Sprague, who he had not seen for years. Lloyd is a chief pay clerk.
