Ex-Sioux Cityan, Capt. R. LaCroix, Again Wounded
Capt. Robert C. LaCroix, former Sioux Cityan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles LaCroix, Fort Thompson, S.D., has been wounded in action for the second time, according to word received by his parents from the War Department.
He was on duty in Italy at the time of his injury January 8. He was wounded the first time in November, at which time he was awarded the purple heart.
He also has received a commendation for outstanding performance in duties and a bronze star for meritorious service in combat in Italy. He is with an engineer battalion. Prior to entering service he was employed with the Western Adjustment and Inspection company.
