Wallace W. Huff, communication officer with a bomber squadron in the Pacific, has been promoted to lieutenant senior grade in the navy. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. S. D. Huff, 2406 Jackson Street.

Lt. Wallace W. Huff, former Sioux City attorney, whose family lives at 2122 Jackson street, was awarded the air medal for meritorious acts while participating in action in a Navy patrol bomber off the coast of Honshu. Lt. Huff's squadron of Navy Liberators and Privateers participated in low level bombing runs on enemy shipping.
