BEGINS SERVICE
Wilton—Bernard H. Duffe, who enlisted as a commissioned Ensign in the U. S. Navy after his graduation from the College of Engineering at Iowa State University in May this year, left Thursday for Norfolk, Va., to report for duty. Ensign Duffe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Duffe.

Bernard Henry Duffe was born Oct. 17, 1920 to Edward and Nora Mable Wildasin Duffe. He died May 12, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.
Bernard served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees 31st Construction Battalion.
