Pvt. Willard Dale, of the marine corps, who has been stationed in the Solomon islands and Guadacanal, is spending a 30-day furlough visiting here with friends and with his fiancée, Miss Mary Dowd, 537 Independence avenue. He was formerly employed by the Walnut Dairy. He resided in Waterloo with Mr. and Mrs. C. Bronson, 1518 Jefferson street. Following a 30-day furlough, he will go to the Great Lakes naval hospital, Great Lakes, Ill.
