KILLED ON LUZON
Sloan, Ia.—Special: Word has been received by Mrs. Everett Finley that her brother, S. Sgt. Raymond Bouvia, a native of the Sloan territory, was killed in action on January 27, on Luzon.
S. Sgt. Bouvia enlisted on June 2, 1941, and received his training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; Camp Robinson, Ark.,; and San Luis Obispo, Cal.
He had been overseas the last 16 months, being in the Hawaiian islands and New Guinea before being sent to Luzon.

Raymond Bouvia was born Nov. 3, 1914 to John Joseph and Anna Ora Beebe Bouvia. He died Jan. 27, 1945 and is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, ID.
Sgt. Bouvia served in World War II with the U.S. Army 1st Infantry, 6th Infantry Division.
