WITH OUR ARMED FORCES
WILL ENTER IOWA STATE—T-5 Harold Ashley, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Ashley, 1325 South Federal, who has been serving with the 42nd general hospital in Tokyo, has arrived in Mason City with a discharge received Feb. 15, and is now making plans to enter school at Iowa State college at the beginning of the Spring quarter. Mrs. Ashley will go to Ames with her husband.
Ashley had been overseas since last April. The last couple of weeks before he was sent home for his discharge, he had been in charge of all the construction work at the hospital. Prior to that he had been off duty for a number of weeks following a major operation.
He holds the Philippines liberation with one star and the good conduct medal.
