Merle Theodore Davis was born Jan. 6, 1919 to John and Lucinda Porter Davis. He died Aug. 27, 1942 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.

Pvt. Davis served in World War II with the U.S. Army 168th Infantry, 34th Division and died in the British Isles as the result of a gunshot wound.
