Clarence Harold Nichols was born July 29, 1924 to Earl C. and Dolly M. Fouch Nichols. He died Oct. 31, 1998 and is buried in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.

Thomas William Nowviock was born Apr. 8, 1920 to Cecil Ver and Esther Marguerite Wright Nowviock. He died Apr. 3, 1943 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 1, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Eldon Cemetery, Eldon, IA.
Petty Officer Nowviock served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Pickerel (SS-217) and died when that vessel was sunk off Honshu, Japan, probably by depth charge attack. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and was awarded the Purple Heart.
