William Eugene Lloyd was born Oct. 16, 1924 to William Thomas and Reffa Virginia Altaffer Lloyd. He died Apr. 25, 2017 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, IA.

Petty Officer Lloyd served in World War II with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Hospital in Bainbridge, MD and was later sent as a corpsman to the Marine Corps.
