Raymond Walter Schroder was born Aug. 18, 1919 to Peter F. and Florence Post Schroder. He died Nov. 13, 1942 (At Sea) and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Schroder served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS San Francisco (CL/CA-38) in World War II and was KIA in the Battle of Guadalcanal. He was buried at sea and awarded the Purple Heart.
