Robert William “Bob” Struve was born Dec. 17, 1920 to Hans Henry and Emily Hughes Struve. He died Feb. 24, 2013 and is buried in Lone Tree Cemetery, Sioux Rapids, IA. 

Bob served in World War II with the U.S. Army from Oct. 1942 to Jan. 1945. He was then a 1st Lt. in the Army Air Corps as a pilot, flying the B-17 and-24 aircrafts.

Clifford Dale Stuenkle was born Nov. 21, 1927 to Henry A. and C. Irene Allison Stuenkle. He died Jan. 13, 1994 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Early, IA. Sgt. Stuenkle served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

John Herman “Jack” Stuhr was born Apr. 22, 1925 to Herman M. and Ruth Elvira Erickson Stuhr. He died Sept. 17, 2010 in Hiawatha, IA. John served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a navigator aboard a B-17 of the Bloody 100th. 

Lt. Stuhr flew 25 missions over Germany, re-enlisting to be part of the relief missions to the German concentration camps.
