Milo A. Holcomb

Mrs. Milo A. Holcomb received a telegram from the war department Tuesday morning, February 20, bringing word that her husband, Pfc. Milo A. Holcomb, has been missing in action in Germany since February 1. Milo was inducted June 19, 1944, and had seventeen weeks basic training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. From there he was sent to Ft. Meade, Maryland, from which point he was sent overseas, landing in Belgium December 24. He has also been in the fighting in France and is now reported missing in Germany.

His wife, the former Gertrude Hinders of Wodden, and 6 year old daughter, Bonna Rae reside in Forest City. Milo worked at the Forest City Produce and had a cream route before entering the service. He is a son of Frank B. Holcomb of Forest City.
