William Haselroth Jr
William Haselroth Jr. was born April 8, 1927. He attended school at Buffalo Center and enlisted in the Army in June of 1944 at 17 years of age. He spent three years in the Army. After a time he re-enlisted in the Navy, planning to make the Navy his career. He was in the service 18 years.
He married Doris Schaeffer from Philadelphia in 1948. William was killed in a car accident at Key West, Florida, on October 1, 1963. He was buried in a Military Cemetery at Alexandria, Virginia. He left to mourn, his wife Doris of Philadelphia, two sons, Lowell of California and Charles of Philadelphia, and two daughters, Linda and Holly of Philadelphia, and three sisters, Jean Swenson of Scottsdale, Arizona, Ramona Thompson of Austin, Minnesota, Shirley James of Buffalo Center, and his mother, Leona, and his father, William. He was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
