MARY LEONA WISE Toledo Chronicle Mary Leona Wise, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wise, who resided near Toledo until last winter, died at Salinas, California, July 26. The following is the life sketch taken from a paper at King City where the family was visiting. Death Saturday, July 26, claimed Mary Leona Wise, the twenty-one months' old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wise, of Toledo, Iowa, who have been visiting for the last month at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Brownlee in Pino Canyon. The baby girl died in a Salinas hospital, where she had been taken one week before following an illness that came upon her July 4. The deceased was a native of Toledo, Iowa, and was born October 13, 1928. Funeral services were held at the Brownlee home. Rev. Harold Wilton, a minister of Bakerfield, officiated. Interment was in the local I. O. O. F. cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Wise will return to Phoenix, Arizona, to make their home. Note: Typed exactly as the article in the paper.
