Lewis M. Wilkinson - 1901 Death of Lewis M. Wilkinson Lewis M. Wilkinson was born in Moulton, Iowa Sept. 21, 1869, aged 32 yeas and 25 days. He removed to Tama county with his parents in 1879. Since then he has lived in Tama with the exception of three years spent in Kansas. He returned to this county a year ago, locating in Toledo where he has since been engaged in the business of a drayman. He was married to Miss May Burge March 7, 1893 who, with four children survives him. Mr. Wilkinson was an affectionate husband and father and was greatly devoted to the welfare and happiness of his family. He was industrious and upright in his habits and life and leaves a sorrowing wife, tender children and other relatives and friends to mourn his early and unexpected departure. The funeral was conducted from the late home of the deceased by Dr. M. B. Drury, pastor of the United Brethren church. The funeral arrangements were under this direction of the Workmen, of which order the deceased was a worthy member, and the interment was in Woodlawn cemetery. Condolences It having pleased the Allwise Creator to take from our midst, our brother and fellow workman, Louis M. Wilkinson, we the members of Toledo Lodge No., 23, A. O. U. W. deplore his demise and extend to his family sincere condolences in their bereavement.
