Anna Brick Burns Toledo Chronicle MRS. P.J. BURNS Funeral services for Mrs. P.J. Burns, who died the last of December, were held December 29 at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Cedar Rapids. The funeral sermon was given by the Rev. J. Lenehan, pastor of the church, assisted by Mrs. Burns' nephew, The Very Rev. T.S. McDermont, of New York City, who said the funeral mass. The evening of December 28 friends and relitives gathered at the Monohan funeral home to say the Rosary. Another nephew, the Rev. T.S. McDermott, of Washington, D.C., attended the funeral. Mrs. Burns had been in failing health for the last ten years. She was a patient in the sanatorium at Oakdale several months, and died at her home in Cedar Rapids. At the time of her death she was 61 years of age. The Burns family were residents of the Toledo community many years,
and moved to Cedar Rapids only a few years ago. They lived on a farm
east of Toledo. Surviving Mrs. Burns are her husband, three daughters,
Miss Lillian, of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. H.S. Butters, of Rockford, Illinois, Mrs. E.F. Bennett of Minneapolis, and a son Lee J., of Iowa City.
