Luther COX, of Kellerton, who recently won the corn growing championship of Iowa for 1940, will make a trip to Chicago on Thursday, where he will be presented with a trophy and other
honors.
Robert COLE, who recently went to Washington, D.C., has been assigned work in the office of the secretary of war as clerk typist. He is located two blocks from the White House.
TINGLEY - Dr. Marvin HALL and Grace MILLIKEN were married at the Emmanuel Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE., November 21. Mrs. HALL is an X-Ray technician at the hospital where Dr.
HALL is specializing in radiology.
STUDENT AYR - The officers of the book club started several weeks ago in the sixth grade are: President, Bob BRYANT; vice-president, Darlene DULANY; secretary, Irene TODD; and
treasurer, Ernest NICHOLS. For the program at the last meeting, each student brought a library book to school and started to read it. For the next meeting each student will impersonate
the main character of the book.

Born, to Mr. and Mrs. James RICHMOND, in the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, November 22, a son, Phillip James. Weight, six and one-half pounds.
