Last Will and Testament of Cornelia Jane DeVinney |

Grinnell, Iowa June 6th, 1906. I, Cornelia Jane DeVinney of the city of Grinnell in the County of Poweshiek and state of Iowa, considering the uncertainty of life and being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath to my beloved husband, William DeVinney, all of my estate real, personal, or mixed to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, to have and to hold the same during his natural life, if necessary to be used for his support. The remainder thereof at his decease shall be divided between our son Frank Pille and his children, Frank Pille receiving one half and the other half to be equally divided between his children, to be held in trust until they successfully attain their twenty-first year. I appoint my husband William DeVinney to be the sole executor of my last will and testament, without bonds. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and decree this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below, this ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six. Signed, sealed, declared and published by the said Comelia Jane DeVinney as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto. Nutting I, Frank Bechly, Clerk of the District Court, in and for said County, do hereby certify that on this day at the March term,1907, of Poweshiek County, State of Iowa, in writing hereto annexed, and bearing date on the proved before and allowed by said Court as and for and personal estate of Cornelia Jane DeVinney, late said County, deceased, was duly ordered to be recorded as such by said Court, on the 9th day of June, 1906.
