Mrs. John Thorne received word Thursday of the death of her nephew, Flight Officer Arthur Ulfers, at an airbase at Charlotte, N. C. His parents and two brothers live near Parker, S. D. and he has a brother in service who is now in England. Arthur visited here in the Thorne home at Thanksgiving time, going on to Parker to visit his parents. No details of the crash which caused his death have been learned here at this time. Mrs. Thorne accompanied by her sister from Iowa Falls went to Parker on Monday and Mrs. Thorne went on Tuesday to attend the funeral Tuesday afternoon.
