• For New York state: nys historic newspapers allows you to choose a county and enter a search. Works well.
• The Ancestor Hunt - links by state, province, and focus
• Advantage Archives - it seems as if its initial focus was on towns in Iowa and Illinois and now are extending to surrounding states trying to archive newspapers of small towns
• USA Newspapers Listed By State - A useful, by state, listing of newspapers. It seems to being kept up since the Pella Chronicle was correctly redirected to the Oskaloosa Herald.
