Veteran was a member of the Executive Board of the Church. Home burned in 1881, 3 daughters perished. is survived by wife and 3 sons. 2. Son Jesse F. Furrow of Alliance, Nebraska - Nov 1949 says his father Jesse J. Furrow a member of Co E 110 Ohio Inf was married in Ohio right at close of war to Nancy Caroline Kyle, coming to Iowa soon after. 1st to Toledo & Tama City, then to Madison County near Winterset... 3. Adjutant General State of Ohio reports 19 Apr 1943: Only Furrow in 110 Ohio V. Inf was Alonzo J. Furrow, record as follows: Enl Aug 1, 1862, for 3 years in Co A 110 Ohio V. I. Must in Oct 2, 1862 at Camp Piqua, Ohio by A. E. Drake, Capt 2d Inf U. S. A. Captured June 15, 1864 at Battle of Wilderness, Va. Must out 10 Jun 1865 at Camp Chase, Ohio. Age at enlistment 19 years. 4. Iowa Census 1885 Madison Co., Lincoln Twp. p. 256, Furrow, Jesse J. age 46, born Ohio, Farmer Nancy 51, born Ohio, John M. 18, born Ohio William M 17 born Madison Co., Jesse F. age 8 born Madison Co., Iowa. The girls lost lives in a fire which burned home down - his father's discharge papers, and he never was able to obtain a pension. Son's address, 524 Platte, Alliance, Nebr.
