Well-Behaved Boys at Eddyville
|
In Eddyville last Friday we were surprised to
see a troupe of well-dressed, well-behaved Boys, ranging in age from
10-17, come marching from the depot under the care of some individual
from New York, and upon inquiry learned that they were from the
Children's Aid Society of New York, and were brought here in search of
homes. Quite a number of the citizens of Eddyville and vicinity adopted
these poor children, and probably by this time, all have been taken. A
group of girls was expected in a few days.
