Funeral services for Alice Foster of Rochester, formerly of Preston, were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2 at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston. Revs. James Rushton and Bernard. Daiker officiated. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery in Preston. Thauwald Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Alice, 84, died Sunday, October 29, 2000 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester after a short time of pancreatic cancer.

Alice Foster was born November 19, 1915 in Lanesboro, the daughter of Nels and Ida (Torgerson) Hanson.

She married Clarence Justness on November 2, 1933 in Lanesboro. Clarence died June 10,1957.

In 1964 she married Harold Foster, and he died in 1965. Alice moved to Rochester.

Survivors include one son: Nathan Jestness of Rochester, MN; three grandchildren; five great-grandsons; two step greatgrandchildren; and one sister: Mrs. George Klema.

Alice was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
