The Adair News Adair, Iowa 31 May 1918

Monday of this week four young men from out north of Adair in Grant Township, Guthrie County answered the call to the colors and on Tuesday morning departed from Guthrie Center for Camp Dodge. The young men are Gus Mueller, Edw. Grimes, John Wesack and Willie Krumm. They will be at Camp Dodge until they are sent out. Word has been received from Merle Chestnut, who recently joined the National Army, saying that he was at Fort Clark, Del Rio Tex.
