The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Decatur County, Iowa June 04, 1931 Frank N. HANSELL and son, Edgar of the Hansell Chevrolet Company, have bought the James HULL property at the corner of Tenth and Church Streets and are overhauling the building. Part of the old house has been torn away and two new rooms will be added. The space covered by the part torn away will be utilized as an addition to the parking and storage space back of the Hansell Garage. The residence property will be completely remodeled. Four months ago, J. F. SPRINGER advertised in the Journal-Reporter for a lost purse. It was not returned and he heard nothing more. A few days ago a son of Tom UMPHRESS was walking across the creek bed at the southwest corner of the George WADSWORTH farm northeast of Leon and found the purse lying where it had fallen from Mr. SPRINGER'S pocket. He remembered the ad immediately recognized the purse. He hurried to return the purse which had $15 in it. Mr. SPRINGER divided the money with the boy for his honesty. Transcription by Sharon R.
