An early picture of the Fair Store and R. Cook and Son Hdwe. These were the south two buildings that burned Jan, 1, 1968 and was before the north one was built. O. H. P. Andrews came to Murray and operated a general store in the south building and later sold the business to his son, Stephen, who changed over to a variety store. Robert Cook and Max in front of the hardware. Interior W. W. Staley Blacksmith shop. Floyd Cone, Staley? Mr. Staley was an all around mechanic and a splendid horse shoer and worked in both wood and iron.

Buildings 1-r — A. B. Miller law office, Claver Grocery and Canfied Cafe. Delia Claver, Luthur Abernathy, Henry Abernathy, Wes Day, Sam Smith, Wes Gentle, Unidentified, C. C. Scott, Dock Jackson, Free Gilbert. The blacksmith shop was located the first door west of the Evans livery and faced the south. |
