Formation Grand
Meadow Township was formed January 10, 1877 . It's territory is
congressional township 90-42, situated in the extreme southwestern
portion of the county, with Willow Township on the east and Tilden
north of it.
Early Settlers First
settler was Frank W. Kimberly in 1868. He was followed by G.O Pixler,
John Baker, T.J. White, Henry Luge, I.H. Harvey, Aaron Card, G.G.
Baldwin, E.C. Delfosse, J.W. Lease, J.D. Parkinson.
Firsts School: 1877 in the "Lone Star" schoolhouse with teacher Miss Hata Delfosse Church: United Bretheren in 1882 followed by Methodist Episcopal in 1884
