Scott Randall Wilkens

September 14, 1962 - February 23, 2025

Scott Randall Wilkens, 62, of Sioux City, IA, entered into heaven on February 23, 2025. Scott suffered renal failure ESRD for many years. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. The celebration will be followed by a lunch from Little Chicago Deli. Scottie loved the Chicago Bears, Little Chicago Deli shirts or even Nebraska, or come as you are and celebrate with us. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Scott was born in Pender, NE, to Eldor and Dorothy Wilkens on September 14, 1962. He attended elementary school in Rosalie, NE; high school at Morningside Christian, Sioux City; and graduated with a BA degree in Cinematography from Bob Jones University, Greenville, NC. After college, Scott worked at an advertising firm in Chicago; in 1988, Scott and his brother Mark started the famous Little Chicago Deli restaurant. Scott, with friends, opened Finders Keepers Antique Shop, enjoyed doing wedding photography and worked as a videographer for a movie script. Scott helped in Kate's restaurant with numerous parties.

Scott enjoyed cooking, antiquing, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid Chicago Bears Fan and will be remembered for his incredible wit and infectious laughter.

Scott is survived by his longtime, devoted friend Lisa Topf; his brother Mark (Mary) Wilkens of Sioux City; his niece Tricia (Steven) Kilgore of Sugar Hill, GA, along with their children Jack and Charlotte; his nephew Derek Wilkens of Sioux City; and his Uncle Gerald (Joan) Busselman of Gretna, NE; his cat Snickers and many beloved friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and Aunt Aletha (John) Berry of Texas.
