GOLDEN WEDDING.
Mr. and Mrs. Halver Woldum Celebrater Fiftieth Anniversary Last Thursday.

It was fifty years ago, April 8, 1965, when Halvor Woldum and Miss Ranie Gram were united in marriage at Lerdal, Norway. Mr. and Mrs. Woldum came to Winneshiek county thirty years ago and settled on a farm in Glenwood township where their family of five sons and two daughters, all of whom are alive, were raised. Five years ago the farm was disposed of and they moved to Decorah, living in the First ward. Last Thursday being the fiftieth anniversary of the wedding their sons and some friends who were neighbors in Glenwood township gathered at the Woldum home to celebrate the event. The daughters live too far away to be present. One of the features of the ev{e}ning was another marriage ceremony performed by Rev. Torrison. After a bountiful dinner the evening was spent in social intercourse mostly of a reminiscent character. A number of presents were given Mr. and Mrs. Woldum, consisting mostly of gold coin. Notwithstanding their age Mr. and Mrs. Woldum are enjoying good health, with a promise of many more years with us. Besides those who attended the anniversary they received congratulations from many other friends and relatives.
