I am the daughter of Myrtle Mikkelson Berhow. My grandparents were Nels and Hendrena Mikkelson. Hendrena's maiden name was Peterson (not Peerson). Nel's and Hendrena are buried in Rose Hill Cemetery. Nel's grandparents are buried in Holmes Chapel Cemetery (Iowa) although the only headstone there is his grandmothers, Elisabeth Mikkelson. Elisabeth's husband is also buried there but there is no headstone. The last I knew the headstone needed repair but has not as of this date been returned and my mother tells me that his first name was also Nels. Valere and Merle were children from Nel's first marriage to Edna. There were two others Ethel and Ruby. Nels and Hendrena had four children and those names are correct. Please contact me. Thank you.
