Services will be 10:30 a.m. December 9 at New Virginia United Methodist Church. Family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola; Masonic services at 7 p.m. Cremation will follow services and interment will be at New Virginia Cemetery at a later date.
Charles was employed by the State of Iowa Department of Health for 40 years retiring in 1989.
Survivors include wife, Margaret and daughters, Kitty VanGundy of New Virginia and Rhonda (Tony) Hayes of Des Moines.
Memorials may go to United Methodist Church and/or Fire & Rescue of New Virginia. Condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
