Rexine A. Mondabough, 89, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Good Samaritan House in Indianola, Iowa. She was born January 14, 1923, in Humeston, Iowa, daughter of William and Nela (McJimsey) Dunn.
Rexine was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and the Des Moines Musicians’ Association. She enjoyed music and loved to dance.
Rexine is survived by her son, Ron (Mariann) Mondabough; daughter, Jackie (Chuck Moore) Taylor; eight grandchildren; and her sister, Virginia Sponsler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; son, Bill Mondabough; grandson, Matthew Mondabough; and her siblings, Carolyn, Gwenyth, Mable, Audrey, Martis, and Donald.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Des Moines Musicians’ Association in loving memory of Rexine.
